About our Classes
Our classes at Origin8Pilates incorporate a diverse use of Pilates equipment and styles to deliver balanced, effective, and individually tailored sessions.
Mat Pilates with props: Mat sessions incorporate small apparatus — rings, small balls, bands and foam rollers — to refine alignment, enhance proprioception and develop muscular endurance. These classes favour accessibility while still delivering technical depth.
Clinical and rehabilitative protocols: Sessions grounded in anatomy and evidence-based progressions address injury prevention, postoperative recovery and chronic pain management. Precise cuing, tactile feedback and micro-alignment corrections are emphasised to restore balanced movement patterns.
Contemporary and classical integration: We blend classical Pilates repertoire with contemporary variations to suit individual needs. This allows us to maintain Pilates’ foundational principles while using modern approaches for functional outcomes.
We have small group options and also teach larger classes. Small group options are good if you wish to get the most out of professional, attentive instruction with tailored regressions and progressions. One-to-one sessions allow for intensive hands-on correction and bespoke programming for complex rehabilitation or high-performance goals.
What to expect: clear, anatomically informed cueing; focused correction of micro‑misalignments; progressive challenges that respect tissue capacity; measurable improvements in core strength, posture, flexibility and body awareness. Whether your aim is rehabilitation, injury prevention, or improved athletic performance, the variety of equipment and styles ensures we can meet your needs with precision and care.
